Wilmington, Del.— On the first day of the Democratic National Convention, Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester celebrates the one year anniversary of the launch of her U.S. Senate campaign. Over the past year, Blunt Rochester’s campaign has gained momentum, uniting Delawareans around a vision of Bright Hope, the theme of her campaign, and optimism for the future of Delaware.
“I’m running to build a better economy — an economy where our past doesn’t limit our future. It’s the foundation we stand on,” said Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester in a video highlighting her campaign launch. “We chart our own path and turn bright hope into endless possibilities. Bright hope is how I approach life. It’s how I’ve served in Congress and it’s how I’ll lead as your next Senator. Let’s go!”
Blunt Rochester officially launched her campaign for the U.S. Senate on August 19, 2023, with a rally in Wilmington, Delaware, joined by Sen. Tom Carper, who endorsed her candidacy as his successor, and surrounded by campaign supporters.
With only 77 days left until the November election, Congresswoman Blunt Rochester will continue engaging with voters during her “Delivering for Delaware” statewide tour, which launched this summer. The tour highlights her achievements in Congress and what she hopes to accomplish in the Senate for the First State.
