Wilmington, Del.— Today, Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester released a new digital ad highlighting her work on second chances through her Clean Slate Act, bipartisan legislation that would eliminate barriers to employment, education, and housing for justice-involved individuals who have served their debt to society. “Second Chance,” the first in a series of digital ads, is part of a six-figure ad buy targeting Black voters throughout the state of Delaware.

“I’m excited to launch our first digital ad of the cycle, highlighting our federal Clean Slate Act,” Blunt Rochester said. “The work of my life has been connecting job seekers to a better future and creating better opportunities for everyone in America. Since we first introduced the bill in 2018, 12 states have passed Clean Slate, including Delaware — Pennsylvania, Utah, New Jersey, Michigan, Connecticut, Virginia, Oklahoma, Colorado, California, Minnesota, and most recently New York. I look forward to continuing the bipartisan momentum of the movement in the Senate and helping low-level, non-violent formerly incarcerated individuals rebuild their lives.”
